Forest Green Rovers and Gloucester City face challenging FA Cup fourth qualifying round away fixtures

Forest Green Rovers will travel to face Chesham United, a National League South club, in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round. This tie is scheduled for Saturday, 17 October. A victory will secure Forest Green a place in the first round proper and a prize of £9,375, while the defeated side will receive £3,125.

Gloucester City have also drawn an away fixture following their recent victory over Mulbarton Wanderers. The Tigers will play against Barrow, a National League team relegated from the English Football League last season. Gloucester City’s progress in this season’s competition includes wins against Mangotsfield United, achieved after a replay, and AFC Totton.

Gloucester last reached the FA Cup first round in the 2013/14 season, when they were narrowly defeated 2-0 at home by Fleetwood Town.

The Southern section features ties such as Salisbury versus Eastbourne, Chesham United against Forest Green Rovers, and Torquay United meeting Oxford City.

All matches will be played on 17 October, with winners advancing to the prestigious first round proper of the competition.
