Football Round-Up: Southern, Hellenic, County, Northern Senior Leagues and Women’s Leagues Highlights

In his 350th Southern League match as manager, Paul Collicutt guided Bishop’s Cleeve to a crucial 2-0 win against Bashley, propelling the Mitres back into the play-off spots in Division One South. Jay Malshanskyj opened the scoring after being expertly set up by Ben McLean, slipping past two defenders to net his tenth goal of the season. Harry Williams sealed the victory with a composed finish, aided by the post, to give Cleeve a vital edge over their opponents.

Throughout the match, Bishop’s Cleeve maintained pressure, with goalkeeper Lewis Clayton making several key saves to deny Bashley’s Scott Bungay. Despite a late offside call against Williams, the result stood, leaving the Mitres in a strong position following Shaftesbury’s 3-0 loss to Didcot Town.

Elsewhere in the Southern League Premier South, Evesham United secured a 2-1 win over Wimborne Town thanks to goals from Kai Churchley and Ethan Dunbar, overcoming William Fletcher’s reply.
