Five individuals have been arrested following a shooting incident on St Paul’s Street in the Gorse Hill area of Swindon, Wiltshire. The incident occurred just before 9pm on Friday, June 19, prompting a swift response from Wiltshire Police.
A man in his 30s was rushed to hospital with a suspected gunshot injury. As of Saturday, his condition remains serious but stable.
Authorities have established a cordon around St Paul’s Street and adjacent Queens Drive as investigations proceed. Among those held for questioning, a 51-year-old faces charges of attempted murder. Additionally, a 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and involvement in the supply of Class C drugs.

Further arrests include a 33-year-old man suspected of assisting an offender and possession with intent to supply nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation. Two teenagers, aged 16 and 19, are also in custody on related charges, including assisting an offender and nitrous oxide supply offenses.
Wiltshire Police have appealed to the public for any information that could aid their enquiries, urging witnesses to come forward by calling 101 with log number 416 dated June 20, or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
