Fitness Instructor Reveals One Simple Way to Achieve Weight Loss

When it comes to weight loss, many people instantly think of intense workouts like spin classes, marathon runs, or hour-long dance sessions that leave them drenched in sweat and exhausted. However, one fitness instructor has shared that exercise need not be so demanding and that losing weight can actually be much simpler than commonly thought - a fact that is sure to reassure many.

Alex, a fitness instructor, emphasises that adopting a healthier lifestyle is important for everyone and insists that there is one form of exercise that can be easily incorporated into daily life. According to her, this method is the “best” way to achieve sustainable weight loss without overwhelming oneself.

“Walking is the easiest way to lose weight,” Alex said while demonstrating her point by walking herself. “I don’t care what you do, just start going on walks.”

She explained the benefits of walking compared to more intense exercises: “After a walk you’re not going to be starving like you would be after a run or a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout. Therefore, your hunger is reduced, which helps you lose weight because you simply won’t eat as much since you’re not exhausting your body.”

Alex also highlighted that walking primarily burns fat rather than carbohydrates, which means fat loss can occur more quickly. “My legs have slimmed down so much just from walking-it’s quite remarkable,” she added.

These views align with advice from the NHS, which states: “A daily brisk walk can give your body a boost, lift your mood, and make everyday activities easier. Walking is simple, free, and one of the easiest ways to get more active, lose weight, and become healthier. Sometimes overlooked as a form of exercise, walking briskly can help you build stamina, burn excess calories, and make your heart healthier.”

Health experts recommend that adults aged 19 to 64 complete at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise each week. Incorporating walking into your routine is an accessible way to meet or exceed this target, contributing significantly to overall health and weight management.
