Residents of Tewkesbury will soon have the opportunity to reserve homes at the eagerly awaited Fiddington Fields estate, opening to the public for the first time. Developed by David Wilson Redrow South West, the estate offers a variety of three, four, and five-bedroom properties designed for modern family living.
Situated just five minutes from Junction 9 of the M5, Fiddington Fields on Diamond Road in Ashchurch comprises 102 new homes, blending private and affordable housing options. This development is part of a larger consortium site adjacent to Barratt Homes Bristol’s recent 460-home project, both nestled within 26 acres of open green space north of Milnes Covert.
A standout feature of Fiddington Fields is the commitment to sustainability. All homes are equipped with electric car charging points and built to comply with Part L of the latest building regulations, ensuring high energy efficiency. These measures aim to significantly reduce fuel and energy consumption, supporting the government’s net-zero carbon emissions goals.

To support buyers, various schemes like the Key Worker Deposit are available, making moving into these homes more accessible. Beyond the buildings themselves, David Wilson Redrow South West is enhancing local biodiversity by installing bat boxes, bird boxes, and creating hedgehog highways to provide safe habitats and wildlife corridors.
Native trees, hedgerows, and wildflower meadows will be planted across the site to further enrich the local ecosystem and create a harmonious living environment for both residents and nature.
Louise Ware, sales director for David Wilson Redrow South West, stated, “After much local anticipation, we’re thrilled to open the doors of Fiddington Fields, offering homebuyers an energy-efficient, well-connected community to call home.”
Homes will be available for reservation without an appointment from noon to 5:30 pm on Saturday, July 5, and from 10 am to 5:30 pm on Sunday.
Additionally, Barratt Homes Bristol and David Wilson Redrow South West have contributed £430,000 toward local infrastructure, funding improvements including libraries, a new primary school, community buildings, and play areas such as sports pitches. The development will also feature allotments, promoting community gardening and sustainable living.
