A serious altercation erupted at a pub on High Street in Tewkesbury on the evening of Saturday, 11 July, resulting in injuries to three members of staff.
According to Gloucestershire Police, the disturbance started at approximately 10pm after a man was refused entry because the venue had reached its capacity limit. Following this, the man became involved in a verbal dispute with the door staff.
The situation escalated when another man, known to the first, joined the confrontation. The second man then assaulted a member of the door staff by punching him in the face, which led to a wider fight. As a result, three members of the pub’s staff sustained facial injuries.

Gloucestershire Police have since launched an investigation and released CCTV images of two men they wish to identify in connection with the incident, believing these individuals can assist with enquiries.
A police spokesperson said:
“Officers investigating the assault of door staff at a pub in Tewkesbury have released CCTV images of two men they would like to identify in connection with the incident.
“It was reported that a man had tried to enter the pub but was stopped by door staff and told to wait outside as the venue was at capacity. The man got into a verbal argument with the door staff and a second man, who was known to him, also got involved.
“The second man then punched a member of door staff in the face which caused a fight to break out and saw three members of staff sustain facial injuries.
“This took place on High Street in Tewkesbury at around 10pm on Saturday 11 July. Investigating officers have conducted a number of enquiries to identify the men and are now appealing for information from the public.”
