A man has died following a single-vehicle crash on the B4040 near Minety, just over the Gloucestershire border in Wiltshire, last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene after an Audi RS3 travelling northeast from Charlton towards Minety left the carriageway and collided with a tree. The driver, a man in his 40s from Swindon, tragically died at the scene.
A passenger, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Wiltshire Police confirmed the road was closed for several hours as officers conducted an investigation into the collision, which occurred just south of South Cerney.
