Farmers' Choir Releases Charity Vinyl After BGT Golden Buzzer Success

Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone brewery is transforming the Farmers Choir’s Britain’s Got Talent Golden Buzzer triumph into a powerful force for good with the release of a limited-edition vinyl record. All profits from the record will be donated to Shout, a mental health charity providing vital support to the farming community.

This unique choir, made up entirely of real British farmers brought together by Hawkstone, has touched the nation with their heartfelt performances and the poignant stories behind their voices. Their inspiring journey to the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals has brought much-needed attention to the widespread isolation and mental health challenges faced by many in agriculture.

The vinyl release aims to amplify the conversation around mental wellbeing in UK farming communities and encourage greater support networks.

In a heartfelt social media message, Jeremy Clarkson said: “They were just fantastic. These guys are all farmers, and they work incredibly hard for really, incredibly small rewards. To see them all on that stage with all that love in the room made my heart sing – I actually welled up.

“And thank you Amanda Holden for pressing that Golden Buzzer thing, I don’t know what that means but it obviously is important.”

Recent studies reveal that 95% of farmers under 40 recognize poor mental health as a critical issue within the industry. Hawkstone’s collaboration with Shout offers a free, confidential, 24/7 text messaging support service. Farmers in need can text ‘HAWKSTONE’ to 85258 anytime to connect with a trained volunteer.

Sarah Kendrick, Clinical Director of Shout, expressed gratitude, saying: “The Hawkstone Farmers Choir has given an incredible voice to the mental health challenges faced by so many in the agricultural community. We are immensely grateful to be the charity partner for this project. The funds raised from this vinyl will be vital, enabling us to train more volunteers and be there for anyone in the farming community who is struggling to cope. It will save lives.”

The limited-edition vinyl is currently available for pre-order exclusively via the Hawkstone website.
