Farm Stables Targeted in Latest Spate of Burglaries Across Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire has seen a surge in criminal activity recently, with multiple reports of break-ins, thefts, and burglaries across the region. Among the most distressing is a burglary on a farm in Abenhall, Mitcheldean, where stables were broken into and valuable equine equipment was stolen. The offenders also caused significant disruption by moving items around and leaving a mess behind.

In a different incident at Grove Lane Westend in Stonehouse, a storage container was forcibly entered, resulting in the loss of a large quantity of tools. Similarly, on Trinity Road in Harrow Hill, Drybrook, a van was broken into overnight, with an estimated £3,000 worth of Makita tools—including radios, saws, disc cutters, multitools, and drills—stolen despite no damage to the vehicle itself.

Vehicle-related thefts have also been reported: on India Road in Gloucester, a car window was smashed and money was stolen from inside. In Cheltenham’s Princess Elizabeth Way, a Citroën Berlingo was targeted, with tools taken from inside. Additionally, a garage burglary on Moorend Park Road in Cheltenham resulted in the theft of a black ‘Giant’ electric bicycle, while an off-road motorcycle was taken from a garage in Gretton Fields, Gretton.
