Nestled in the picturesque Cotswolds countryside, a family-run holiday park in Gloucestershire has been recognised as one of the top holiday destinations in the UK. Set amidst four pristine lakes, this park offers visitors a peaceful yet engaging staycation experience.
The Cotswolds are celebrated for their charming villages, honey-stone cottages, cobbled streets, and inviting shops set against rolling rural hills. Within this idyllic setting, Hoburne Holidays operates a site that balances tranquillity with recreational opportunities, making it a sought-after location for families and nature lovers alike.
Hoburne Holidays, a fifth-generation family business running seven sites across the south of England, achieved an impressive 81% overall customer rating in a recent survey by Which?. Their parks range from coastal cliff-top locations in Dorset to forest retreats in the New Forest.

Which? highlighted the company’s commitment to providing peaceful, crowd-free parks. One guest noted the park was “clean, quiet, and very well maintained,” contributing to a perfectly relaxing break. The parks also received high praise for dining options, such as the Pier House restaurant, which features a sea-view terrace and serves locally sourced seasonal dishes, earning five stars for food and drink.
Activities at the parks reflect their unique surroundings. At the Cotswolds site, visitors can enjoy guided bat walks and instructor-led kayaking on the nearby wetlands.
The Hoburne Cotswolds site offers accommodation options including stylish static caravans, lodges, and apartments, many with views overlooking the lakes. Facilities include both indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools and direct access to the lakeside for fishing, sailing, and paddleboarding.
Families with children will find plenty to enjoy, from an adventure soft play area and playground to mini golf. Additional recreational options include pedalo hire, dino kart rides, and an indoor pool flume. Adults can make use of the fitness suite, sauna, and steam room, and dine at the on-site restaurant and bar, which also hosts evening entertainment.
Jim Forward, chief executive of Hoburne, expressed pride in the recognition from Which?: “Of all the awards we could have won, this is probably as good as it gets. Which? is one of the most trusted brands, and this accolade reflects the hard work of our teams who strive to provide quality family time for our guests.”
He added: “We’re particularly proud of the high praise our restaurants have received, as they also serve the local communities by welcoming non-residents. We thank everyone who contributed to the survey and remain committed to maintaining and improving our standards. We’re honoured to be among the best in the business and intend to keep that position.”
The ranking is based on a survey of 2,221 Which? Connect panel members and the general public conducted in February and March 2026.
