The National Trust is introducing a captivating Trust10 10K trail run at Woodchester Park, allowing runners to explore one of the most charming and historically significant areas in the Cotswolds. The inaugural run is scheduled for Sunday, April 27, and will continue on the fourth Sunday of each month.
The Trust10 series, a volunteer-led initiative, aims to promote physical activity and outdoor exploration. The new route at Woodchester Park commences at the Tinkley Gate café and guides participants through ancient woodlands, tranquil lakes, and the awe-inspiring ruins of Woodchester Mansion.
Max Biddlestone, the visitor experience manager for the Cotswold countryside portfolio, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, “We have been dedicated to enhancing access to the expansive Woodchester Park area at Tinkley Gate and are thrilled to introduce the initial Trust10 run this spring. All levels of runners are welcome; the trail offers a unique blend of natural beauty, historical significance, and challenging terrain, appealing to both seasoned runners and novices interested in trail running.”

Max further added, “Our goal is to provide everyone with the chance to savor the spectacular landscapes we preserve. The Trust10 runs present a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, engage with fellow running enthusiasts, and contribute to the conservation of extraordinary places like Woodchester Park for the benefit of all, now and in the future.”
Nestled in a secluded valley, Woodchester Park is celebrated for its diverse wildlife and remarkable surroundings. During the winter, several established trails were revamped to enhance accessibility, ensuring a more pleasant and secure experience for all visitors.
Participation in the Trust10 events does not require registration, and runners are encouraged to set their own pace. The Tinkley Gate café serves as the meeting point and both the starting and finishing line for the inaugural run.
