Versatile midfielder Jordan Shipley is poised to become Cheltenham Town’s second summer signing, according to Gloucestershire Live.
The 28-year-old left-footed player boasts valuable Championship and League One experience gained with Coventry City, where he rose through the youth ranks and contributed to two promotion-winning campaigns.
Shipley also impressed under Steve Cotterill’s management during his time at Shrewsbury Town in League One.

Last season, Shipley featured prominently at Port Vale, making 33 appearances and scoring twice. Despite having a two-year contract, he was made available for transfer this summer and is now set to reunite with Cotterill at Cheltenham.
Notably, during his spell at Coventry, Shipley scored in a commanding 6-1 League Two win over Cheltenham at Whaddon Road in April 2018, and also found the net at Wembley in the 3-1 play-off final victory over Exeter City that same season.
The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international will join fellow new recruit Charlie McCann at Cheltenham as the squad prepares for pre-season training starting July 1.
Cheltenham Town will then head to Spain for a week-long training camp beginning July 4, before kicking off pre-season with a friendly against Slimbridge on July 14.
