Elderly Man Assaulted by Teenagers on Bikes in Tewkesbury

An elderly man in his 90s was assaulted by a group of teenagers cycling through the Priors Park area of Tewkesbury on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31. The incident occurred between 3.20pm and 4pm as the victim walked along Foresters Road towards Abbots Road.

According to Gloucestershire Police, three teenagers on bicycles approached the man, directed verbal abuse at him, and struck the back of his head. Although the victim was not physically injured, he required the support of his walking stick to maintain balance and was left visibly shaken by the attack.

Investigations suggest that the teenagers travelled from Tewkesbury Town Centre, passing through nearby alleys and possibly cycling down Belfry Drive, Despenser Road before reaching Foresters Road. Following the assault, the group was seen cycling along Abbots Road, then Queens Road, continuing towards Walton Cardiff.
