As Easter approaches, Tewkesbury Borough is preparing to host an array of exciting events for families from April 12 to April 27. Organized by Tewkesbury Borough Council, the festivities include creative craft workshops, castle adventures, historical lectures, and steam railway tours.
Young creatives are invited to participate in free children’s craft activities at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR) from April 12 to April 20. Meanwhile, Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe offers a seasonal program of Easter adventures, including themed activities for families from April 12 to April 27. Art enthusiasts can explore the ‘Same Sea, Different Boat’ exhibition at Nature in Art, while history buffs can attend a captivating talk on regional waterways at Tewkesbury Baptist Church.
Aviation fans can visit the Jet Age Museum in Cheltenham on April 16, while on April 17, Nature in Art will host an illustrated talk intertwining history and artistry. Families can take part in an Easter trail at Cleeve Common on April 18, and on April 19, indulge in ‘A taste of chocolate history’ at the Old Baptist Chapel. Additionally, as part of Tewkesbury Live, Watson Hall will host a lively musical performance on the same day.

For those interested in the workings of the steam railway, GWSR will offer a ‘Behind Closed Doors – Lifting the Curtain’ tour on April 19. Families can also join Tewkesbury’s Historic Egg Hunt until April 21, collecting clues around the town to claim a handmade ceramic egg decoration as a souvenir.
