Gloucestershire police are investigating an incident at a Gloucester roundabout where an e-bike rider racially abused a van driver. The episode occurred around 4pm on Tuesday, December 23, at the Painswick Road roundabout near Coney Hill.
According to authorities, the van was stationary at the junction when the e-bike rider approached very closely, despite riding without any lights. When the van driver lowered his window to speak, the rider responded with racial abuse and threats before leaving the scene towards Eastern Avenue.
The rider is described as a Black male in his late teens or early 20s with Afro hair, wearing a black jacket, black jogging trousers, and a black scarf.

A Gloucestershire Constabulary spokesperson urged anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward. Information can be reported via the police website quoting incident number 307 of December 23.
