Gloucestershire Police are investigating reports of antisocial behaviour involving groups of intoxicated teenagers at Kingshill Playing Field in Cirencester. For the past two weekends, these youths have been gathering near a large blue metal container, leaving behind broken alcohol bottles and causing disturbances.
Authorities are concerned not only about the litter but also about the safety risks posed to local wildlife, dog walkers, and children who use the area for football. A police spokesperson emphasized the dangers linked to underage drinking and the resulting broken glass.
In response, police will ramp up patrols in the area to reassure residents and curb further incidents. They are also appealing to the public for any information regarding the identities of the teenagers and how they are obtaining the alcohol.
