A man in his 80s tragically lost his life following a collision involving a Volkswagen Polo and a Triumph Thruxton motorbike near Cirencester Fire Station on Monday, March 2.
Emergency services responded to the accident on Watermoor Way, just off the Cirencester Fire Station roundabout, shortly before 2:40 p.m. Despite prompt medical attention, the driver of the Volkswagen Polo, a local resident, succumbed to his injuries. His next of kin have been informed.
The motorbike rider was assessed at the scene and sustained no serious injuries.

Due to the severity of the crash, multiple roads, including the A419, were closed for several hours to facilitate a thorough police investigation. These roads have since reopened.
