A man was arrested after bleach was allegedly poured on the ground at Kingsway Orchard, a nature reserve in Gloucester, leading to several dogs falling ill. The disturbing incident was discovered by an off-duty police officer on the morning of Monday, April 20, around 11:45 am.
The officer reported seeing a man distributing bleach on the ground while carrying loaves of bread in the area off Lyneham Drive. Subsequently, dogs that consumed food left on the ground in the vicinity became unwell, although authorities are still investigating whether the bleach was the direct cause.
The arrested individual, a man in his 30s residing near Gloucester, faces suspicion of administering a poisonous substance to a protected animal. He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Gloucestershire Police are appealing to the public for any eyewitness accounts or information related to the incident.
