Dick and Angel Strawbridge Keep Chateau Halloween Traditions Alive with Festive Makeover

Dick and Angel Strawbridge, beloved stars of Channel 4’s Escape to the Chateau, embraced Halloween with their signature flair, turning their French chateau into a thrilling haunted house. This annual celebration has become a cherished tradition for the family, designed especially for their children, Arthur, 12, and Dorothy, 11.

Sharing highlights on social media, the couple delighted fans with glimpses of their eerie decorations and festive festivities. From spooky hunts featuring elusive “Chateau Helpers” to lively toilet paper mummy contests and classic apple bobbing, the evening was filled with laughter, excitement, and spirited fun.

The family showcased their costumes throughout the beautifully decorated rooms of the chateau. Angel captivated in a long velvet black gown adorned with silver spider web patterns, complemented by shimmering purple horns, curled red hair, and bold crimson lipstick. Dick opted for a simpler look, dressing as Frankenstein with a waistcoat, white shirt, navy trousers, and a headpiece with the iconic monster’s bolts.

Their children also embraced the spooky theme: Arthur donned a monk’s robe paired with a wizard’s hat, while Dorothy wore an all-black witch’s outfit complete with a pointed hat. The event attracted many warm reactions online, with followers praising the family’s creativity and dedication to festive traditions.

After the celebrations, the Strawbridge family enjoyed a quieter day, de-cobwebbing their home and preparing for the next holiday season. Dorothy was already humming Christmas tunes — a sure sign that the magic of the seasons continues at the chateau.
