The family of Becky Robins, a 31-year-old mother from Gloucestershire, are facing heartbreaking final days together after multiple devastating diagnoses left her with no treatment options.
Over the past 18 months, Becky’s health declined rapidly. In December 2024, she was diagnosed with stage 5 renal failure. Just two months ago, in February 2026, she received the shattering diagnosis of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. Complications from suspected seizures in recent months have ruled out chemotherapy and dialysis, leaving doctors with nothing more to offer.
Now at home in Minchinhampton, Becky’s family is preparing to say goodbye while showering her with love and care. Her mother, Sharon Robins, 59, stays vigilant, checking on Becky hourly to ensure she is breathing, while the family grapples with the harsh reality that Becky’s time is limited.

Becky’s journey has been fraught with challenges from a young age. Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 15, she faced a difficult path. After the birth of her daughter Rose in 2021, Becky suffered from pre-eclampsia, a serious pregnancy complication damaging organs including her kidneys, leading to constant infections requiring ongoing antibiotics.
By 2024, Becky’s kidneys were failing rapidly, prompting her to start dialysis within months. A kidney transplant seemed hopeful when her brother was found to be a perfect match — the operation was planned for April 2026. However, before this could happen, a lump discovered on her neck led to the lymphoma diagnosis, breaking the family’s hopes.
In the weeks following, Becky’s condition worsened. On a family trip to Weymouth earlier this month, Becky appeared to suffer her first stroke, with doctors fearing she has had several since. Now, she is paralyzed from the chest down and unable to communicate, relying on medication to stay comfortable.
Amid this unimaginable situation, the family has established a GoFundMe page to support Becky’s final days, raise funds for a memorial service, and create a dedicated memorial space in their garden for Rose to feel close to her mother. The generous community response has been overwhelming, raising over £4,800 within a week, including an anonymous £1,000 donation.
Sharon expressed the family’s grief and gratitude: “No amount of money can make her stay longer, but we want to give Becky the beautiful send-off she deserves and support Rose through this. Becky wanted to make memories with Rose, and though time ran out, the trip to Weymouth gave us that one precious moment.”
A rose tree with a brass plaque will be planted in the garden to honor Becky, providing a place for Rose to visit and remember her mum. The family is determined to carry on Becky’s love and legacy as they face the future without her.
