A 32-year-old man from Cirencester used a hotel room in the southwest to prepare and store Class A drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin. Barry Bramble, formerly of Vyners Close, was arrested on February 16, 2026, following an investigation by Swindon’s Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU), which linked him to drug supply activities in the area.
At the time of his arrest, Bramble was still on licence for a previous Class A drug offence. Police found him in possession of crack cocaine, and subsequent searches of the hotel room led to the seizure of additional quantities of crack cocaine and heroin.
Charged with possession with intent to supply, Bramble appeared at Swindon Crown Court on May 11, where he pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to five years and six months in prison.

Detective Constable Jared Yalden of SOCU emphasized the importance of targeting repeat offenders like Bramble, highlighting the connection between drug networks, organised crime, and community harm. He also urged the public to assist law enforcement by reporting any information about drug activity through official channels or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
Bramble’s criminal history includes a six-year and four-month sentence in 2023, related to heroin possession discovered during a police stop in July 2022.
