Davina McCall has given fans an intimate look into her family life, expressing heartfelt emotions as she anticipates a major shift—her children leaving the nest.
The beloved TV presenter faced a daunting health scare last November when she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Thankfully, after successful surgery to remove a benign colloid cyst, she is recovering well, though some memory challenges remain. At 57, Davina remains optimistic about a full return to health.
Throughout this ordeal, her steadfast support system—including her partner Michael Douglas and her three children, Holly, Tilly, and Chester—has been by her side. The children are from her previous relationship with Matthew Robertson.

Now, with Chester turning 18 and ready to embark on adulthood after his A-levels, Davina is preparing for all three children eventually moving out. Speaking with Hello magazine, she candidly shared her feelings about this looming family change.
“I’d hate my kids to feel they have to come home because I’m needy,” she confessed. “I want them to leave confident and happy, not looking back with any sense of obligation.”
Despite the anticipated emptiness, she prides herself on the strong, happy foundation her children have built. “They’re all in solid places, living their best lives, but they still enjoy spending time with us,” she said.
Davina’s career has spanned decades, elevating her from MTV presenter to British television icon. Her breakthrough came with hosting Big Brother in the early 2000s, turning the reality show into a cultural phenomenon. Later, she became a compassionate face on ITV’s Long Lost Family, helping reunite relatives across Britain alongside Nicky Campbell.
In recent years, she has embraced new media, hosting podcasts like Begin Again, which encourages listeners to view midlife as a powerful, transformative chapter.
As Davina faces this new chapter of family life, she balances pride with a tender acknowledgment of change—demonstrating strength in vulnerability.
