Cyclist Threatened at Knifepoint as Distinctive Yellow E-Bike Stolen on Stroud Canal Path

A man cycling along the canal path near Stroud Brewery, close to Brimscombe, was robbed at knifepoint on the evening of Friday, June 6. Just before 8:15 PM, two men approached the cyclist and threatened him with a knife before stealing his distinctive yellow Surron electric bike.

Fortunately, the victim was not physically harmed during the incident. Gloucestershire Police have launched an appeal for information to help recover the stolen e-bike and identify the perpetrators.

The suspects are described as white males, one approximately 30 years old and the other around 40. One wore a black Nike tracksuit, while the other was dressed in a camouflage coat and blue jeans. Despite searches in the immediate area, the suspects have not been located.

Authorities plan to review CCTV footage from nearby locations and urge anyone who has seen the stolen bike, noticed it being sold, or who has information about the robbery to come forward. Witnesses can provide details to the police via their online reporting form, referencing incident number 513 of June 6.
