A woman cyclist in her 30s tragically died from injuries sustained after being struck by a bus in Cheltenham. The accident occurred on Prestbury Road near the junction with Whaddon Road at approximately 8:50 a.m. on Monday, March 16.
Emergency responders rushed the seriously injured cyclist to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital before she was transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for further treatment. Despite medical efforts, she passed away on Tuesday, April 7.
The victim’s identity has not been released, but police have confirmed that specially trained officers are providing support to her family during this difficult time. The bus driver was unharmed, and no passengers were aboard the vehicle at the moment of the incident.

Gloucestershire Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. They are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward and assist the inquiry.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police stated, “A woman who sustained serious injuries following a collision in Cheltenham last month has died, and officers continue to appeal for witnesses. Information can be submitted online, quoting incident 51 of 16 March.”
