A cyclist was intentionally knocked off his bike by a pillion passenger on a motorcycle in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Gloucestershire Police have launched an appeal for information following the incident, which occurred at approximately 9:55 a.m. on Saturday, May 30.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was cycling along Coleford Road in Tutshill when a motorcycle overtook him at a dangerously close distance just after the junction with Silley’s Close. According to reports, the pillion passenger deliberately kicked the cyclist’s rear wheel, causing him to lose balance and fall.
The cyclist sustained minor injuries, including cuts and grazes. However, the rider and passenger of the motorcycle did not stop to assist or check on his well-being and instead continued on their journey.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information following reports that a cyclist was deliberately knocked off their bicycle in Tutshill last week. The pillion passenger on the motorcycle is believed to have deliberately kicked the rear wheel, resulting in the cyclist falling and sustaining injuries. We urge the motorcycle rider and passenger to come forward and provide their account of the incident.”
Investigators are also calling on any witnesses to the collision or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward. Additionally, anyone who saw the bicycle or motorbike before the incident is encouraged to contact police.
