With the sunshine returning and Easter holidays on the horizon, thoughts naturally turn to outdoor fun. Whether it’s sunbathing, building sandcastles, firing up a barbecue, or playing games on the shore, Cotswold Country Park and Beach is ready to welcome you back.
As the largest inland beach in the UK, Cotswold Country Park offers a wealth of activities for visitors of all ages. From wild swimming in the lakes to paddle boating and romantic pedalo trips, there’s something for everyone. Challenge friends and family to mini golf or explore the newly redesigned AquaVenture inflatable aquapark, featuring eight brand-new obstacles and a total of 20 action-packed activities, including bouncing pillows, rolling balls, ropes, trampolines, and tunnels.
The 2026 season kicks off on Friday, March 27, just in time for Easter holiday fun. Visitors can purchase admission tickets in advance through the park’s website, granting access to the beach, swimming areas, playgrounds, lake walks, food outlets, onsite shops, and activity zones.

Cotswold Country Park boasts two distinct beaches— the Main Beach on South Lake and the Children’s Beach Lagoon—complemented by an adventure playground and junior climbing walls nearby. Boat rentals include rowing boats, mini electric boats, and pedal karts for extra family fun.
When hunger strikes, three dining options await: The Beach Shack and Café, Roma’s Pizzeria, and the Ice Cream Hut, all conveniently located by the beach. The Beach Shack offers spacious covered seating on the boardwalk, perfect for lakeside dining. You’re also welcome to bring your own picnic or enhance your outing with a rentable barbecue.
The park’s extensive landscape includes over 150 lakes, making it a haven for water-based activities like kayaking, paddleboarding, and zorbing.
Entry fees start at approximately £3.50 for pedestrians and cyclists, with vehicle admission for up to five people around £10. These prices vary by season, and advance booking is highly recommended to ensure your spot. Notably, a minimum of 10% from each ticket supports the Cotswold Lakes Trust, dedicated to preserving the natural beauty and wildlife of the Water Park.
For those looking to extend their visit, nearby accommodation options include Corinium Cottage in central Cirencester, with quaint courtyard dining and cozy wood burner comforts, and Hayloft Cottage south of Cirencester, a charming converted stable with private courtyard space.
