Cotswolds Water Park Inland Beach Reopens for 2026 Season

The arrival of sunshine signals the start of beach season at Cotswold Country Park and Beach, the UK’s largest inland beach, opening its gates for the 2026 season on Friday, March 27. Just in time for the Easter holidays, this scenic destination offers a perfect retreat for families and friends seeking sunbathing, sandcastle-building, barbecues, and lakeside fun.

Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, the park invites visitors to enjoy wild swimming, leisurely pedalo rides for two, or spirited mini golf matches. An exciting highlight for 2026 is the completely redesigned AquaVenture inflatable aquapark, now featuring eight brand-new obstacles alongside 20 existing action-packed challenges like bouncing pillows, rolling balls, trampolines, and tunnels.

The park boasts two beaches: the Main Beach along the South Lake and the Children’s Beach Lagoon, complemented by an adventure playground and junior climbing walls nearby. Visitors can also rent rowing boats, mini electric port boats, and pedal karts for a varied lakeside adventure.

Beyond the beaches, the Cotswold Water Park spans over 150 lakes, providing diverse activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, and zorbing, guaranteeing something for everyone.

Admission to Cotswold Country Park and Beach requires advance booking via the official website, offering access to beaches, swimming areas, playgrounds, lakeside walks, food outlets, shops, and activity zones. Tickets start from approximately £3.50 for pedestrians and cyclists, and £10 for vehicles with up to five passengers, with prices varying by season. Notably, at least 10% of every admission fee supports the Cotswold Lakes Trust, a charity dedicated to preserving this stunning natural area for both wildlife and visitors.

For those planning an extended stay, nearby accommodation options include Corinium Cottage in central Cirencester, featuring a charming courtyard and wood burner, and Hayloft Cottage, a converted stable with a private courtyard south of Cirencester, perfect for up to four guests.
