Two renowned Cotswolds pubs have been honored in the prestigious Cotswolds Awards 2025, showcasing their top-tier food and hospitality offerings.
The Lamb at Great Rissington proudly claimed the Best Sunday Lunch award, while The Five Alls in Filkins, near Lechlade, secured the title of Best Pub with Rooms.
Both Brakspear-owned establishments are led by exceptional licensees. Elliot and Kath Cree, the duo behind The Lamb, bring a wealth of experience from Michelin Star kitchens worldwide. Since taking the helm in 2024, they have crafted a menu that perfectly marries international culinary influences with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Their Sunday lunch service has become a sought-after event, featuring expertly roasted traditional options alongside enticing fish and vegetarian alternatives.

At The Five Alls, licensee Tom Downing has elevated the accommodation experience since 2024, overseeing a comprehensive refurbishment of its nine rooms. The mix of four en-suite bedrooms above the bar and five cottage-style rooms in the garden, including a comfortable Family Suite, now exudes a charming cottage ambiance with soft green and grey tones, plush carpeting, and vintage furnishings. Guests enjoy luxury touches such as duck down duvets, Egyptian cotton linens, premium toiletries, and flat-screen TVs, blending hotel-level comfort with the warmth of a welcoming pub atmosphere.
Tom Davies, Brakspear’s chief executive, expressed pride in the award-winning licensees: “It is always wonderful when our licensees win accolades for their achievements. We are fortunate to collaborate with these talented professionals who have transformed our pubs into beloved destinations known for exceptional food, comfortable accommodations, and heartfelt hospitality.
“Congratulations to the teams at both pubs on this well-deserved recognition. We are confident that more awards will follow.”
