Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who recently moved back to the UK after six years abroad, are believed to have settled in the Cotswolds. Their choice places them among other well-known residents such as the Beckhams, Jeremy Clarkson and Kate Moss.
The couple arrived with their children, Archie and Lilibet, through Birmingham Airport. However, their return has faced challenges, including ongoing debates over taxpayer-funded security and reports that they have withdrawn their children from school owing to safety concerns.
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, a TV personality and potential neighbour, previously commented on the Cotswolds community’s keen sense for spotting insincerity. Adding to this, renowned fashion designer and long-term Cotswolds resident Lulu Guinness has offered some words of counsel to Harry and Meghan.

Speaking to the Sunday Telegraph, Lulu urged the couple to “keep your head down. Do it for the children.” She emphasised the importance of maintaining calm and focusing on settling their children into school. “If you put your children first, you can’t go wrong,” she added.
Lulu also noted that Prince Harry should feel at ease in the area, having spent part of his childhood at Highgrove House near Tetbury.
Speculation continues about the duration of their stay in the UK, with some local residents expressing concerns about the couple’s potential long-term presence. Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen suggested that Harry might be more warmly received than Meghan, due to his previous ties to the region. He remarked that Meghan would need to be authentic, as locals “can really sniff when people aren’t being who they are.”
Laurence also cautioned Meghan about the socially discerning nature of some local mothers, advising her to avoid provoking any tensions, particularly at school gates.
Separately, there is ongoing discussion regarding the couple’s security arrangements, with their request for publicly funded protection currently under review. Rumours suggest they might consider returning to California if their security needs are not met.
