Clarkson’s Farm’s Lisa Hogan Shares Challenges and Exciting Plans Ahead of Season 5

As the highly anticipated fifth season of Clarkson’s Farm draws near, Lisa Hogan, Jeremy Clarkson’s partner and a familiar face on the show, has revealed some of the challenges and exciting developments fans can expect. The 52-year-old Dublin-born star, who has a background in acting and modeling, spoke candidly about her ongoing efforts to enhance the farm’s offerings while addressing persistent issues.

Lisa highlighted, “We’re constantly improving lots of little things in the farm shop. Car parking remains an ongoing challenge, and I’m really hoping we get the go-ahead from the council to make that permanent.” This improvement is just one of several new projects she’s been passionate about.

One such venture involves the introduction of Valais Blacknose sheep, a breed that Lisa had admired for some time. “It was a real thrill when I found an excellent breeder, and they arrived,” she shared, hinting at fresh content for viewers.

Additionally, Lisa has explored an unusual but intriguing project with snails. “On the snail front, I’m a big fan of snail face cream, so that was the original idea. Of course, Jeremy then had other plans for them,” she revealed, teasing some unexpected uses that will be featured on the show.

Fans will see Lisa continue her role alongside Jeremy and the Diddly Squat Farm team throughout the upcoming season. However, the preview trailer for series five also showcased some intense moments, particularly surrounding Jeremy’s recent serious health scare. The 66-year-old presenter underwent cardiac surgery, and footage shows him in hospital being urged to rest and adjust his diet. Despite medical advice, Jeremy defied recommendations to rest fully; he even traveled to London for a protest against governmental policies affecting farmers.

Lisa shared insight on Jeremy’s recovery: “Jeremy was advised to rest for a couple of weeks, and that lasted about a day and a half. He still absolutely refuses to eat cottage cheese.”

Clarkson’s Farm season five will consist of eight episodes, rolling out across three dates in June. The first four episodes will be available on June 3, followed by episodes five and six on June 10, with the final two episodes releasing on June 17.

Jeremy Clarkson reflected on the show’s impact, stating, “I like to think Clarkson’s Farm has altered the way people think about farming. I think more people now appreciate just how difficult it is and just how badly paid it is. For that reason alone, I think the programme has been a good thing.”

He also acknowledged how current events tie into the show’s narrative: “Obviously, things like the government budget have fed into that wider conversation across UK farming, and Clarkson’s Farm reflects that.”

Clarkson’s Farm series five premieres on Prime Video on June 3, promising a season filled with both drama and new beginnings.
