Lisa Hogan, star of the popular Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm, has candidly discussed a memorable and challenging moment from her earlier career—being fired after customer complaints.
On the show, Lisa is well-known for supporting her boyfriend Jeremy Clarkson as they manage their farm in Oxfordshire. Season four, which premiered in May, recently released its final episodes, showcasing Jeremy running the farm solo while Lisa launched a new product line and Kaleb Cooper went on a nationwide tour.
Despite her managerial role on the farm, Lisa’s past includes a less successful stint working in a pub. Reflecting on the experience, Lisa recalled, “I was fired from a bar in Australia! Some people had ordered a bottle of wine, and I couldn’t get the cork out, so I put the bottle between my legs and pulled.” She added that the men at the table made some cheeky comments, and in return, she responded in kind. Their complaints ultimately led to her dismissal.

Lisa also shared insights into Jeremy’s knack for tackling tough business ventures. “Jeremy seems to specialise in picking ventures that are notoriously hard to make a living from. He had it all worked out: the brewery, the animals, the vegetables—it was a breeze,” she explained. “Verbally, yes, it’s a breeze, but then we wouldn’t do anything if we knew what lay ahead, would we? He thrives on challenges. It’s his nature to be constantly annoyed and p***** off. Owning a pub is a dream come true for him because he loves a good moan.”
As they prepare to launch the new pub venture, Lisa contributed design ideas and brought in experts to help get the project off the ground. Jeremy, who admitted to losing sleep over the pub’s challenges, found a clever way to increase space affordably. “We took out the Grand Tour tent, which had been sitting in storage. It has such a great vibe inside—light and beautiful,” Lisa shared. “Compared to the farm shop, it offers loads of space. Customers aren’t there to judge—they just want a little bit of Diddly Squat to rub off on them.”
Clarkson’s Farm continues to captivate viewers with its blend of farming trials, humor, and the dynamic partnership between Jeremy and Lisa and is available now to stream on Prime Video.
