Harriet Cowan, known for her memorable role on Clarkson’s Farm, has hinted at the possibility of returning to the popular Prime Video series with a mysterious four-word reply: “You’ll have to see.”
The Derbyshire-based nurse and former temporary farmhand exited the show last May during its fourth season when Kaleb Cooper returned from touring. Since then, Harriet has made a significant career shift, leaving her nursing profession behind to focus on various television projects and her growing presence on social media.
On the Fed by Farmers podcast, Harriet revealed the pressures that led to her decision: “I’ve given up nursing because I was going into people’s houses and I was getting recognised as that girl off the telly. I was supposed to be there as a professional nurse – there were people dying at the end of the day, and I was supposed to be there as a professional.”

She added, “The stress of doing social media, being a nurse, a farmer and doing brand deals was too much. In black and white, I don’t need the money. I was working all week, and I’d be earning 34k a year, but I just did not need that; that was nothing you can earn in the social media game."
Harriet expressed pride in pursuing full-time farming, which she described as her lifelong dream: “How many other people can say they can give that up at 24, to give up their job and go into full-time farming, which is all I’ve ever wanted to do.”
Since her departure from Clarkson’s Farm, Harriet has landed several advertising deals, including a notable partnership with Aldi promoting British beef. “Aldi’s the biggest brand yet. I’m seeing them next week – I don’t know what they’re getting me to do yet,” she shared on the podcast, emphasizing the positive publicity this partnership brings.
Responding to questions about her return to Clarkson’s Farm for its fifth season, Harriet remained tight-lipped, saying, “I’m not allowed to say, you’ll have to see. It’s top secret.”
Clarkson’s Farm season 5 is set to premiere on Wednesday, 3 June, with subsequent episodes releasing over the following weeks. The new season promises big changes as Jeremy Clarkson navigates farm management challenges amid a challenging government budget for the UK farming community. The farm experiments with high-tech solutions, leads to Kaleb’s first international trip, and faces significant upcoming developments at Diddly Squat.
All previous seasons are currently available to stream on Prime Video.
