Harriet Cowan, a standout new face on the popular Amazon Prime series Clarkson’s Farm, has shared candid insights about managing the pressures of her dual careers—as a nurse and a farmer. The documentary series showcases Jeremy Clarkson’s efforts running the vast 1,000-acre Diddly Squat farm in Oxfordshire.
Harriet, 24, joined the show at the start of its latest season, which premiered on May 23. She was brought in to help while longtime farm manager Kaleb Cooper toured the UK with his one-man show, The World According to Kaleb. Quickly winning over fans, Harriet tackled everything from barn repairs to daily chores, proving herself a vital presence on the farm.
When Kaleb returned, Harriet did the same, but not before earning Clarkson’s heartfelt praise. “You saved my life,” he told her. “So, if we get stuck again, can we give you a call?”

Though fans were eager for her continued involvement, sources confirm Harriet won’t appear further this season, with no plans currently for future series either.
Originally from Derbyshire, Harriet has farming deeply rooted in her family—raising livestock on her grandfather’s farm, now run by her father. She shares glimpses of this life alongside her popular social media presence, boasting hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok and Instagram. Her posts often highlight her farm duties and her bond with her brown collie, Sky.
Beyond farming, Harriet is a fully qualified nurse, having graduated from the University of Derby in 2023. She now serves as an adult district nurse for the NHS. In a recent Q&A on Instagram, she admitted the difficulty of balancing nursing, farming, and social life: “I’m awful at this! But I have learnt so I would just say, prioritise having fun, your friends, and making enough money to live comfortably but remember money isn’t everything!”
Embracing the lighter side of farm life, Harriet shared that while she enjoys raking, her favorite tractor task is branding ploughing—finding it “more skilful,” a testament to her growing expertise.
Clarkson’s Farm remains available to stream on Prime Video.
