Clarkson Farm’s Harriet Cowan Joins Channel 4’s Children’s Show Tiny Farmers

Harriet Cowan, who rose to fame through her role on Clarkson’s Farm, is expanding her television presence with a new show on Channel 4. The 24-year-old agricultural worker will star in Tiny Farmers, a children’s program focused on farm life, partnering with comedian and actress Jessica Knappett, known for The Inbetweeners.

In Tiny Farmers, Harriet and Jessica join forces with poultry experts Avril and Michael to educate viewers on how to recognize happy, healthy chickens. They will also explore the journey of an egg from the henhouse to the dining table. Meanwhile, four young contestants will compete to become the next generation of egg producers, learning about hen welfare and culinary skills along the way.

Stephen Parnell, Digital Commissioning Executive at Channel 4, praised the duo’s enthusiasm: “Harriet and Jessica bring an infectious energy to Tiny Farmers, creating a fun and heartfelt experience as young contestants strive to impress both the hens and their hosts. Collaborating with Interstellar TV and The Happy Egg Co. has been fantastic, and we’re excited to share this show with families.”

Harriet’s path to television fame began when she stepped in as Jeremy Clarkson’s assistant during the fourth series of Clarkson’s Farm, replacing Kaleb Cooper, who was on tour. Combining her farming background with nursing experience, Harriet quickly became a fan favorite by showcasing the realities of agricultural life. Since then, she has transitioned fully into farming and built a strong following through her YouTube channel, while remaining open to future Clarkson Farm appearances.

Recently, Harriet addressed online criticism concerning her appearance, responding to comments that questioned her authenticity as a farmer and criticized her use of makeup and hairstyling. In an Instagram post, she firmly defended her commitment to farming: “I work just as hard as any other farmer, covered in mud and sweat. Wearing makeup or having a haircut doesn’t define my dedication. I have farmed alongside my granddad and dad and truly love this job.” Harriet emphasized that such comments often target her because she is a woman in agriculture and called for respect towards all farmers.

Tiny Farmers is set to launch on Channel 4’s YouTube channel on January 19, with episodes available to stream on the network starting February 2.
