Clarabella Hall Shines as Cheltenham Town Women Dominate Billericay in 3-0 Victory

Cheltenham Town Women delivered a commanding performance against bottom-placed Billericay Town, securing a 3-0 victory at Kayte Lane in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division on Sunday.

Goals from Megan Arnott, Emily Owen, and standout Clarabella Hall propelled Cheltenham to fifth place in the league, while Billericay continued to struggle, having conceded 63 goals in their opening 10 matches.

Cheltenham’s dominance was evident early on as they created multiple chances. The breakthrough came from a corner by Anais Trinci; Billericay’s defense failed to clear the ball, and Owen’s follow-up set up Arnott for an easy finish, opening the scoring.

Despite Billericay showing glimpses of attacking intent and creating some wing play opportunities, their efforts were largely thwarted by Cheltenham’s disciplined defense. An early injury to Billericay’s Kelsey Morgan further weakened their side.

After leading 1-0 at halftime, Cheltenham maintained pressure in the second half. In the 70th minute, another Trinci corner resulted in captain Emily Owen heading into the net, doubling the advantage.

With Billericay’s morale dropping, Cheltenham sealed the win with a moment of brilliance from Clarabella Hall. She received a precise pass, maneuvered around defenders, and scored from a tight angle past goalkeeper Tyrii Bell.

Despite the scoreline, Bell was Billericay’s standout player, making several crucial saves to keep the game respectable. Trinci was instrumental for Cheltenham, providing two assists and consistently driving their attacking efforts.

This victory is a strong response following Cheltenham’s recent FA Cup exit and caps off their final home match of 2025 on a high note. Next up is an important away fixture against sixth-placed Exeter City, a match that could significantly impact Cheltenham’s ambitions. A win would solidify their top-half position, while a loss might see them slip closer to the relegation zone.

Cheltenham Town lineup: Haynes; Jones, Llewellyn, Owen, Norman; Newns (Brady 79), Arnott, Ellis (Brittain 63); Trinci, Lue, Hall.

Billericay Town lineup: Bell; Morgan (Ledwidge 9, Addy 90+4), Daniels, Vennard, Santiago; Grain, Evans, Ralston, Smith; Cawood, Jones.
