Child Rescued After Car Overturns in Cotswolds Accident

A driver and a child were trapped inside a vehicle after it overturned in a single-vehicle accident in the Cotswolds earlier today, Tuesday, December 9. Emergency services from the Stow-on-the-Wold police station, along with ambulance and fire crews, quickly responded to the scene.

The incident involved the vehicle flipping as a result of the crash. Members of the public on site bravely stepped in to assist, helping both the driver and the child safely exit the overturned car. Police have expressed their gratitude to those who offered immediate support.

The Cotswolds Neighbourhood Policing Team reminded drivers to plan for additional travel time during the winter months, when road conditions can be more hazardous. They posted on Facebook: “Following a single-vehicle collision this morning, officers worked alongside ambulance and fire services to manage the situation. We thank the members of the public who stopped to help. Please remember to allow extra time when travelling in winter.”
