A young girl was hospitalised after being struck by a car on the A38 Tewkesbury Road in Twigworth, Gloucestershire, on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services received the call at approximately 4:15 pm on May 6 and quickly responded to the scene of the accident involving a child pedestrian and a vehicle. The injured girl was promptly transported to Bristol Children’s Hospital for medical treatment.
Gloucestershire Police have confirmed that the injuries sustained are not life-threatening or expected to cause long-term effects. During the emergency response, Tewkesbury Road remained closed, causing traffic delays in the area. The road was reopened around 5:30 pm once the scene was cleared.

Traffic reports indicated that both directions of the A38 were blocked between Brook Lane and Down Hatherley Lane during the incident. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
