Child Dies in Tragic Minibus Overturn on M4 Near Wokingham

A tragic incident on Sunday afternoon has resulted in the death of a child after a minibus overturned on the M4 motorway near Wokingham, Berkshire. The crash occurred on the eastbound junction 10 exit slip road onto the A329M.

Thames Valley Police confirmed the heartbreaking news on their social media channel, expressing their condolences: “Sadly, a child died in the collision. Our thoughts remain with the family who are being supported at this extremely difficult time.” The crash also left several other passengers with serious injuries requiring hospital treatment.

National Highways reported the incident shortly after 2:45 pm, prompting the closure of the M4 in both directions between junctions 8 and 11 for several hours. The slip road remained closed into Sunday night as emergency services continued their work at the scene.
