Gin & Juice, the stylish bar located within Cheltenham’s boutique hotel and restaurant No. 131, is rolling out a new, more selective door policy to foster a refined and vibrant atmosphere. Owned by Julian Dunkerton, the founder of the fashion brand Superdry, the venue wants to ensure that only the “right people” are enjoying the curated Gin & Juice experience.
“As we move into summer, we’re introducing a considered door policy to maintain the sophisticated vibe at Gin & Juice within No.131,” the management said. “Entry will remain at our discretion, and we reserve the right to refuse admission without explanation. Summer here is about a stylish setting, cool music, and the right crowd.”
Patrons can expect to unwind on the garden terraces with relaxed sunset sounds, while inside, the venue will feature signature beats ranging from 70s disco and 80s funk to timeless classics. The beloved frozen Margaritas are making a comeback, accompanied by live music events every Thursday night and Sunday afternoon.

In addition to the new door policy, Gin & Juice is set to replace its existing white tents outside with a modern glass and ironwork structure, enhancing the outdoor experience.
This move follows reports earlier this year regarding some controversy around the marquees outside No. 131. The local council and Civic Society criticized the large white tents for obstructing the view of nearby historic Grade II* listed buildings, resulting in a protracted dispute. Despite some marquees being removed, a few were reinstated ahead of the Cheltenham Festival.
With the careful curation of guests and physical upgrades to the venue, Gin & Juice aims to deliver an unforgettable summer that highlights both atmosphere and exclusivity.
