The Find, a cherished artisan coffee house and kitchen in Cheltenham’s town centre, has abruptly closed after eight years of serving the community. Located on Regent Street, near the entrance to The Regent Arcade, the cafe was known for its quality coffee, brunches, and warm atmosphere.
Owner David Orme and his team announced the closure on social media, expressing deep regret and uncertainty about when, or if, the cafe will reopen. Their heartfelt message thanked customers for their unwavering support and loyalty throughout the years.
“We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support, loyalty, and the many wonderful memories that we have shared over the past eight years,” the message read. “Serving the community has been a true honour, and your custom has meant the world to us. Whether you stopped by for your daily coffee or a quiet brunch, you were the heart of what made The Find special. We are not sure what the future may hold, but thank you for being part of our journey.”

The announcement prompted an outpouring of affection and regrets from patrons on the cafe’s Facebook page. Many shared fond memories and wished the team well. Mandy Ross-Adams recalled the “great bacon baps” and a memorable New Year’s Eve box during the pandemic. Kate Hodgson shared her disappointment, calling The Find her “go-to” spot and expressing hope that the team is doing okay.
Other comments reflected pride and appreciation. Jane Finch congratulated David on his accomplishments with the business, while Teresa Ryan highlighted the warm and friendly welcome she always received. Jonathan Pollinger described the venue as an “amazing business and social venue.”
