Cheltenham Town has confirmed that three promising young players have signed new contracts for the 2026/27 season, Gloucestershire Live reports.
Defender Freddy Willcox and midfielder Harry Tustin have both extended their contracts. Following successful loan spells at Hereford FC last season, they are anticipated to embark on further loan moves to gain valuable first-team experience. Willcox, a versatile 20-year-old, is entering his third professional year and has previously been loaned to Evesham United, Oxford City, and Hereford, accumulating 21 senior appearances for the Robins. Meanwhile, 19-year-old central midfielder Tustin has impressed during loan stints with Salisbury and Hereford and has made eight first-team appearances at Cheltenham.
Mark Barber, a left-footed centre-half renowned for his long throw-in, has signed his first professional contract after completing his scholarship last season and spending time on a work experience loan at Taunton Town. Manager Steve Cotterill has suggested Barber will likely be involved with the first-team squad during the early part of his debut season.
