Cheltenham Town Women Secure Versatile Talent Casi Evans from Blackburn Rovers

Cheltenham Town Women have confirmed the signing of promising 18-year-old Casi Evans, a versatile player capable of performing both as a defender and midfielder. Evans arrives at the club from Blackburn Rovers and Halifax Town Women, having been dual-registered last season.

With extensive experience representing Wales at various youth levels—including U15, U16, U17, and U19—Evans expressed her enthusiasm about joining Tom Davies’ squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

“I’m thrilled to have joined Cheltenham and have already felt warmly welcomed by the staff and players,” Evans shared. “My goal is to establish myself within the squad and earn as much playing time as possible throughout the season. There are many talented players here, and I see this as a great chance to develop my skills and help move the club forward.”

Cheltenham Town Women enjoyed a strong 2024/25 season, reaching the Gloucestershire County Cup and FAWNL Plate finals while securing eighth place in the FAWNL Southern Premier Division. Reflecting on the club’s ambitions, Evans commented, “After last season’s successes, we’re determined to improve our league standing and aim for a deep cup run.”

Evans joins other fresh faces this summer, including former Swansea City goalkeeper Charlotte Haynes, ex-Aston Villa academy forward Louise Apuusi-Tchassem, and fellow Welsh U19 international Charlotte Salisbury-Williams.

The Robins will learn their fixture list for the 2025/26 season on Tuesday, July 15, as preparations continue for what promises to be an exciting campaign.
