Cheltenham Town prospects Freddy Willcox and Harry Tustin have secured loan moves to Hereford FC, competing in the National League North. Both players featured prominently in Hereford’s narrow 1-0 victory over Darlington on Tuesday, a win clinched by a last-minute penalty.
Hereford FC, currently sitting 23rd in the National League North standings, is managed by Aaron Downes, a former Cheltenham defender and assistant manager. The coaching staff also includes Harry Pell, an ex-Bulls midfielder who departed Cheltenham in December and has since retired from playing after a brief stint with Bath City.
At 20 years old, Willcox has made 10 English Football League appearances for Cheltenham Town, while 19-year-old Tustin has previously spent time on loan at Salisbury FC this season. Throughout his career so far, Tustin has tallied eight senior appearances across all competitions for Cheltenham.
