Cheltenham Town’s promising youngsters, Freddy Willcox and Harry Tustin, have secured loan moves to Hereford FC, competing in the National League North. Both players made their debuts for Hereford in Tuesday’s narrow 1-0 victory against Darlington, a win clinched by a last-minute penalty.
Hereford, currently 23rd in the league standings, are managed by Aaron Downes, a former Cheltenham defender and assistant manager. Assisting Downes is ex-Bull midfielder Harry Pell, who departed Cheltenham in December before joining Bath City and subsequently announcing his retirement from playing.
Twenty-year-old Willcox has accumulated 10 EFL appearances for Cheltenham Town, while 19-year-old Tustin had a previous loan spell at Salisbury FC earlier this season. Tustin has featured in eight senior matches across all competitions for the Robins.
