Cheltenham Police Hunt Suspect in Home Knife Attack

Police in Cheltenham have launched a manhunt following a knife attack at a private residence in the St Paul’s area on Monday, May 25. The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Shane Walsh.

According to Gloucestershire Constabulary, Walsh allegedly entered the property between 1pm and 2pm, physically assaulting a woman and causing bruising to her face and arm. He then reportedly attacked a man with a knife, inflicting lacerations that required hospital treatment. The man was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, but his injuries are not considered serious.

Two other women present in the home were unharmed. Police arrived at the scene around 9:10pm but found the property empty. The three women and the injured man have since come forward to officers.

Walsh, from Brooklyn Gardens, is described as white, about 5ft 6in tall, of medium build, with short brown hair, and is believed to still be in the Cheltenham area. Authorities have urged anyone who sees him not to approach but to call emergency services immediately.
