A Cheltenham resident has expressed frustration with delivery company Yodel after footage from his door camera revealed a driver carelessly dropping a fragile package onto his doorstep.
Chris Haley, 60, of Charlton Kings, ordered an ornamental garden hare as a birthday gift. However, when the package was delivered, he discovered it was broken inside.
The doorcam video shows the delivery driver walking up to the doorstep and seemingly dropping the package onto the ground. Although the driver attempts to cushion its fall with his foot, he quickly walks away without much care.

Mr. Haley said, “He literally just got to the step, dropped the package on the floor, and walked off. When I unpacked it, it was broken.”
Measuring the delivery driver’s actions, Mr. Haley noted that the entire drop-off took just nine seconds. He added, “It’s just not good enough. We’re paying good money for things. He didn’t even know what was in the package. I know it looked like he tried to cushion it with his foot, but he basically dropped it, and it even hit the wall.”
Frustrated by the lack of accountability, Mr. Haley stated, “I think it’s just a license to be careless, to be honest, being a delivery driver. There’s never any come back on them, and I think this needs to be called out.”
He also criticized the driver for disrespecting his property, saying, “He came onto my property and didn’t even close the gate when he left. There’s no respect for anybody’s property anymore.”
