Cheltenham Festival Gold Cup Day Sells Out Ahead of Event

The Cheltenham Festival, one of the most anticipated events in the horse racing calendar, is now just a week away. Excitement is building as Gold Cup Day, the grand finale of the festival, has officially sold out.

Gold Cup Day, scheduled for Friday, March 13, is the highlight of the week-long festival. The main attraction, the Gold Cup race, starts at 4 pm and challenges horses over a demanding distance of three miles and two furlongs. The victorious horse not only earns glory but also takes home the prestigious Cheltenham Gold Cup trophy.

As of March 2, all general admission tickets for Gold Cup Day have been snapped up. However, there are still some hospitality packages available for those seeking a premium experience.

Tickets for the other days of the festival (Tuesday, March 10 to Thursday, March 12) remain available but are selling fast. Champions Day, the opening day on March 10 featuring the Unibet Champion Hurdle, is nearing sell-out status.

Ticket prices vary depending on the enclosure. The Best Mate enclosure offers a prime view near the finish line starting at £60 per person, while the Club Enclosure provides exclusive access to premium public areas and outstanding views for £115 per person.

Throughout the festival, racegoers can look forward to several marquee events, including the Queen Mother Champion Steeple Chase on Ladies' Day (Wednesday, March 11) and the Ryanair Steeple Chase on Thursday, March 12, which also celebrates St Patrick’s Day with themed festivities.

With anticipation reaching its peak, racing fans are advised to secure their tickets soon to avoid missing out on this iconic sporting occasion.
