During the latest episode of Celebrity Bake Off, medics had to step in after one contestant suffered a kitchen injury while preparing a tarte tatin. The show, currently airing its new series for Stand Up to Cancer, featured a fresh judging panel headed by renowned pastry chef Cherish Finden, alongside Paul Hollywood and hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding.
The episode, broadcast on Sunday, March 29, saw celebrities JoJo Siwa, Molly Mae Hague, Richard Herring, and Babatunde Aléshé competing in a series of baking challenges, including creating decorated traybakes and recreating childhood toys as biscuits. The first round was a success for many, with Molly Mae earning praise for her carrot patch tray bake and Babatunde impressing with his caramel traybake. JoJo also bounced back with a vibrant rainbow confetti cake despite earlier struggles.
However, tension rose during the second round, which tasked the bakers with mastering a tarte tatin — a delicate balance of caramel, apples, and puff pastry. While chopping apples, comedian and writer Richard Herring accidentally cut his finger. His startled “ouch” caught the attention of the production team, prompting immediate medical assistance. Alison Hammond lightheartedly noted, “It’s all going off, the medics are in,” as Richard received treatment. Undeterred, Richard joked, “I spill blood to win Bake Off,” and quickly returned to his baking duties, his finger wrapped in a plaster.

The competition continued to a thrilling finish, culminating in Molly Mae being crowned the winner for her consistent performance across all three rounds. “I’m so high up in the sky right now I could cry,” she expressed. Judge Paul Hollywood commended her as “the most consistent” contestant of the evening.
