CCTV Appeal and Burglary Incidents Raise Alarm Across Gloucestershire

Recent reports from Gloucestershire Police highlight a troubling series of burglary and theft incidents across the county. Two men were disturbed during an attempted break-in, while several vehicles and properties have been targeted over the past week.

Key incidents include the theft of a blue JIAJUE 50cc moped decorated with Monster stickers from Pates Avenue, Cheltenham. The theft occurred between 8 pm and 2:38 am on May 21-22, 2025, with CCTV capturing three suspects in the act (Incident 063, May 22).

In Fairford’s West End Gardens, a burglary took place between late night May 22 and early morning May 23, targeting a shed and garage; the stolen items remain unknown (Incident 64, May 23). Similarly, in Church Road, Quenington near Cirencester, a farm building was broken into, with tools and a ‘Whacker’ plate taken between 4 am and 9 am on May 22 (Incident 50, May 22).

A retail premises on Tredworth Road, Gloucester faced a burglary where the cash till and box were stolen sometime between May 18 and May 21 (Incident 101, May 21). Vehicles have also been targeted; a wallet containing bank cards was stolen from a Ford Transit van on Hatherley Road, Gloucester (Incident 16, May 22), and a BMW’s window was smashed on St James Street, Gloucester resulting in cash theft (Incident 40, May 22).

In a frightening incident near Cirencester, two men were disturbed during an attempted burglary in Tarlton on May 19. Police are urging residents to remain alert and report suspicious activity, especially any suspicious loitering or individuals carrying tools under unusual circumstances (Incident 40, May 19).

Other reports include a grey VW Golf stolen during a burglary at Willowbrook Drive, Cheltenham between May 20-21 (Incident 43, May 21), and multiple vehicle entries near Stroud where no items were taken (Incidents 105 and 433, May 20). Additionally, a house burglary in Queensfield, Fairford resulted in stolen jewellery and bank cards during midday hours on May 20 (Incident 333, May 20).
