Car windows were deliberately smashed during an incident near Sharpness Docks, Gloucestershire, on the evening of Friday, May 29. The event took place on Bridge Road between 8:00 PM and 9:15 PM and involved a silver Vauxhall Vivaro van and a white BMW 320D.
According to reports, the van driver initially yielded to the BMW at a junction before overtaking it abruptly and slamming on the brakes. Following this, two men exited the van and approached the BMW. One man smashed the driver’s side window while the other broke the passenger side window. They then tried to open the car doors, but the victim managed to drive away safely.
Police believe the individuals knew each other. A man in his 30s from the Newtown area has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. He has since been released on bail while the investigation continues.
