An altercation near Sharpness Docks in Gloucestershire resulted in the smashing of car windows on the evening of Friday, May 29. The incident occurred on Bridge Road between 8pm and 9:15pm and involved a silver Vauxhall Vivaro van and a white BMW 320D.
According to reports, the van driver initially yielded to the BMW at a junction but then overtook the car abruptly, slamming on the brakes. Two men exited the van and approached the BMW, where one shattered the driver’s side window and the other broke the passenger side window. The assailants attempted to open the car doors before the victim managed to drive away.
Police believe the individuals involved were known to each other. A man in his 30s from the Newtown area was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and has since been released on bail while investigations continue.

Gloucestershire Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
